A large part of the European economy is based on SMEs which should be a good approach for creativity and fast decision leading to innovative products. Unfortunately in most cases it is necessary a critical knowledge mass to address the wide multidisplinary issues of an innovative product, process or market as well as the finance muscle and dynamics to address the global market. SMEs need to learn how they can win by effective collaboration and to have at their disposal the tools and methodologies that may motivate them to emulate large companies in terms of complex innovation and global market keeping to their advantage the sustainable innovation of an SME collaborating in an innovation network.
