This is the prototype of the Frascati Living Lab web page. The Frascati LL is part of the C@R project.
The Frascati Living Lab aims to experiment a dynamic dedicated collaborative platform to support the development in real life scenarios, experimentation and operations of:
- Innovative applications involving incubation processes, such as those promoted in the ESA - BIC Lazio incubation initiative, for supporting the transfer of space technologies (including Earth Observation, Navigations and Telecom and their integration) to non-space sectors;
- More traditional applications in sectors such as environment, agriculture and tourism (to serve both the science and the industrial/service communities).
- Support the creation and operation of Virtual Professional Communities as human centric organizations interacting with the networks of SME’s , engaging the participation of individual knowledge workers and citizens for catalyzing the region innovation processes
The Frascati Living Lab is ready to access this AMI@Work collaborative platform offered by ECOSPACE. As a study case to validate this approach the Frascati LL would launch the constitution of the first professional community dedicated to the wine precision farming, involving the interaction and collaboration of knowledged workers and experts in:
- very high resolution remote sensing data processing and management
- wireless technology and ground sensors networks
- biological and phenological models
- agronomy and wine market aspects
As discussed at the Frascati Living Lab workshop (18 April 2007), the very first case of interests is the one introduced by the GEO-K SME which has been formed as start-up of the ESA-BIC Lazio incubation initiative.
