[edit] Goals of the workshop

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together experts in the field of science, politics and business in order to discuss the role of policies and strategies in stimulation of the development of value clusters and creation of new opportunities for collaborative innovation in the New Member and Associated States (NMAS). We want to focus on the practice and to learn from the experience of national and foreign clusters. We will present the impact of networks of collaborative innovation on the formation of value clusters, and the way new work and business environments enabled by Information Society Technologies may support these networks. We will try to identify and make out new initiatives of creation of clusters and network of collaborative innovation through strengthening the NMAS innovation system in the area of new work and business environments and building strong integrative networking relations with the IST Programme.

The main themes for the workshop are as follows: key success factors and perspectives for clusters development in Poland and NMAS, ways to support and strengthen clusters, the role of research, working and business environments in cluster development, innovation systems in supporting clusters.
